Goodwives Quilters
Goodwives Quilters, named after Goodwives River, established in 1975, meet at Rowayton Community Center, 33 Highland Avenue (Rte 136) from 9:30-about 1:30 on Tuesdays. Those interested in the art of quilting are invited to bring a lunch and have tea or coffee with us. Any skill level is welcome. We have about 40 members. We even have some members who knit and rug hook. We have challenge projects and day trips to quilt-related locations. We are friendly and a fun group. We make many community quilts, helping groups such as Veterans at Rocky Hill, CT facility, Malta House, Norwalk, Neo-natal intensive care unit at Stamford Hospital, AmeriCares, Stamford to mention only a few. We consistently donate more than 100 quilts a year to various causes. For more information contact Rita I Phillips RitaQuilt@gmail.com
